A beer in collaboration with Oxbow Brewery from Maine, born from a mutual idea, developed and brewed together and now fully entered in our production line. How to bring an Italian pride like Brunello wine, famous all over the world for its quality, in an innovative product? In Oud Brunello the sweet and sour notes of the Oud Bruin style of beer are accompanied by the unmistakable scents derived from the refinement in Brunello barrels. Here the Oud Brunello spends 10 months of fermentation and maturation and receives that uniqueness always desired and finally acquired.

4 oz pour on draft at The Sovereign. Thanks DCLawyer! Clear reddish brown with beige head. Aromas of dark fruit, flowery notes. Tastes of dark fruit, light chocolate, tartness. Light body with a dry finish.

Bottle from the Italian Job, Chiswick. Slightly hazy, chestnut brown. No head save for the slightest ring that sticks to the glass. Nose has red wine vinegar. Aged balsamic. Sherry steeped cherry. Old wood. Red wine cork. Fruit stone. Some light, earthy, damp cellar notes. Hint of vanilla bean at the end. Smells great. Taste is dry and vinous, with a tangy, woody sourness. Palate is dry, clean, and lightly acidic. The red wine vinegar and cherry stone thing stays an age on the finish. Nice sour. Lots going on.

Sampled from the tap at Churchkey. Pours a clear gold with a white head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has lots of light dry red fruits with a slight tartness and a decent amount of wine barrel. Flavor is more reserved with grass, light tart fruits and a bit of dry red wine.

Bottle pour at Iron Gate, paired with a pineapple, grape and olive tart. Clear ruby maroon color, small tan edge head. Aroma of vinous sour cherry dipped in port wine. Taste is sweet and sour plums, grapes with lots of soft tannins. Could be better carbonated, but this is delicious.

330 ml bottle from Kick. Slightly unclear reddish brown body with a small and fast disappearing off-white head. Aroma has strong vinegar, red wine, malt, oak and acid. The flavor is complex malt, sour berries, red wine, acid and oak. Fine balanced body and long lasting, mostly acidic aftertaste. Nice and complex sour beer, but best in smaller amounts. Even if I split the bottle a half bottle becomes pretty acidic. My stomach felt this beer for hours (OK, this was the last one of one evening filled with sours, but this overruled them all with the acidity level).
