[ As Oxbow Sasuga Saison ].Unclear light to medium yellow color with a small, fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, pale malt, tropical fruity, apple, peach. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, tropical fruit, pineapple, funky notes. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140430]

[4/30/14] Draught at Mikkeller Bar in Copenhagen. Pretty clear, slightly hazy golden. Lovely funky aroma, fruity, oaky and a bit sweaty. Dry flavor, sourish, fyunky and fruity. Medium-bodied, lively carbonation. Very good.

On tap at Mikkeller Bar (Viktoriagade), shared with Skinnyviking. Close to clear golden. White bubbly ring to the rim of the glass. Fragile lacing. Fruity nose, tart and dry. Sharp grapefruit flavours alongside lemon and earthy malts. Dry bitter ending. Medium bodied. Pleasant, if not that convincing. (Copenhagen 30.04.2014).

Pours orange with a smooth head. Aroma of funky yeast, tartish fruits, spices and zesty notes. Taste is smooth and floral with some tartish fruitness and juicy notes, hints of yeast and spices. Finish is smooth, juicy and tartish with some hints of floral notes and grass. Quite good fruity hoppy saison.

Aroma is a bit offensive with grapefruit and nettled.Also lots of gooseberry bush. Flavour is very tart with lactic acid, grapefruit, some orange and b.retta tones. A bit unpleasant at all its aggressiveness. Perhaps it is the milky tones here.

Bouteille 75cl de et partagée avec Pierre. Merci. Couleur orangée assez claire avec indiquant le filtrage, col blanc cassé moyen mais tenant dans la longueur. Arôme offre un bouquet qui dès le premier abord fait penser à la pêche, le tout ponctué par de belles notes de brett. Quoiqu’il en soit le brett reste générique et c’est encore bien là le mal des bretts qui enlèvent un peu de l’idée d’une saison rustique. En rétro-nasal, un léger côté grains-riz soufflé ce fait ressentir. Palais reste également centré sur un fruité tropical qui fait de suite penser à de la pêche voire de l’abricot fermentés. L’ajout du riz est agréable et offre un certain caractère et onctuosité en bouche. Par moment j’ avais l’impression de goûter ce côté sake de riz fermenté. Côté suret est modéré avec un pétillant moyen. Le tout reste sec, facile à boire avec une dominance certaine de brett et un fruité agréable.

Leicht säuerlicher Antrunk. Dezente Kräuternoten, erfrischend. Zum Ende wässrig, geringe Säure. Nettes Session Bier, mehr nicht. 11/9/10/8/9/8

Pizzeria Paradiso, Dupont tap ($9): Pours a light and cloudy golden color with a white head. Aroma is buttery, slightly lemony, popcorrnish, and a bit funky. Taste is buttery popcorn sans le salt. There is a little bit of sourness in there towards the finish. Body is very light and part of me wished that there was an additional 1 abv. Nice amount of complexity for such a light beer in any case.
