Keg at the Paisley Beer Festival 2016. Pours black with a thick beige head. Aromas of roast coffee, liquorice. Taste is tarry, chocolate. Sweet Nutella finish. Too fizzy but.

Tasting at Ferris’
Dark brown color, near black, with beige head. Very nice aroma of dark malts, nuts, molasses, bread. Smooth mouthfeel, dark caramel flavor, a bit of chocolate, some espresso. Spicy finish.

Bottle - Nice sweet roast. Jet dark brown with a light brown head. Dark roast and a very hoppy bitter finish. Pretty solid.

330 ml bottle from trade with Douberd. Thanks Christos! Dark brown almost black color with nice beige head. Aroma is malty, very alcoholic! Roasted, licorice, chocolate. Sweet and bitter taste, hot alcoholic again, dark chocolate, licorice, anise? fruity. Medium to full oily body with soft to average carbonation.

schenkt zwart met schuimige fijne bruine kraag. aroma van mout, chocolade, zoet, licht zuurtje, hout en iets van wijn. smalen zijn matig zoet, redelijk (koffie) bitter, zeer sterke smaken, sterk gemout van geroosterde en gebrande mouten, chocolade, kalk, mocca, hop, laurier. medium body, romig van textuur. best ok ! ... laat wat punten liggen op het aroma .... --- Beer merged from original tick of Imperial Stout on 15 May 2018 at 15:32 - Score: 8

Bottled@SBWF2015. Black colour, small brown head. Aroma is liquorice, some ripe fruits, mild ashes, wood and toffee as well. Flavour is liquorice, ripe fruits, ashes and some toffeeish notes. Slight alcoholic burn in the finish.

Bottle @sbwf15. Black colored beer with a thick off white head. Licorice, bread and tobacco. Flavor has tobacco, sweetness, hops, roastedness. Smooth. Nice one.

Bottled at SBWF. Black with coarse beige head. Licorice aroma. Mid sweet with medium body and clean, rounded mouthfeel. Licorice and aniseed. Asphalt and grains. Long resiny bitter finish.

Bottle @ Van Moll Brewpub shared by Erwin Van Moll. Opaque black color, average sized brown head. Smell and taste malts, lightly roast, liquorice, brown malts, a hint of old coffee but somehow in a good way. Medium to full body, medium carbonation. Quite pleasant.
