Our Porter is a black experience, but there is no reason for fear. The roasted malts contribute with coffee and chocolate flavours. This makes this beer quite food friendly. Try it with barbecue, or even better, with desserts like chocolate brownie, vanilla ice cream or fresh berries. The gajeta Falkuša brought hope and fortune to the island of Vis. Prvo viško pivo brings you unpasteurized and unfiltered Ale of the finest quality.

Bottle, 0.33l. Pour pitch black with thin creamy brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, cocoa, chocolate, herbs, mild vegetables and ripe fruit. Taste starts with medium sweet and rich roasted malt, follows by chocolate, licorice and some sour notes, mouthfeel is dry, while finish is medium bitter. Medium body, creamy texture and average carbonation in palate. Bitter and a bit sour, would rather taste more chocolate here...

33 cl bottle @ Leppävaara. Batch 29.06.2016, BBE 29.12.2017
Aroma is sweet with malty notes and molasses. Flavour has salty licorice, sweet malt and molasses. The malt is very well roasted here. Also raisins, coffee and ash. A bit ’hard’ palate. Quite typical east european porter, this has some balance though.

On tap at Makro Beer Fest. Pours a black color, topped with a medium tan colored head. Nice and easily notable chocolate nose, some medium roastiness. Nice and chocolatey sweet with roasty finish. Lighter body and all in all pretty fine.

Bottle. A dense, tan head forms lacings as the black liquid leaves the glass and hits the palate. There’s plenty of dark chocolate on the nose, roasted malts too, and both licorice and coffee chimes in. It’s full-bodied and smooth on the palate, very lightly warming, and neither dry nor really sweetish. Lots of roasted malts and dark chocolate flavor, some coffee in the back, and a wee hint of prunes and licorice. Everlasting dryish chocolate and roasted malts finish with some coffee notes in the back. Nice roasted malts kind of bitterness too. A really pleasant porter. Would perhaps like it a tad more complex, but it’s sure a fine brew as it is. 160824

Bottled 330ml. -from Magic Beer Room Zagreb. Deep black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate in the nose. Roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa, hops and alcohol with light coffee and light alcohol presence. Well done and enjoyable. Few bottles are going to cellar...looking forward to compare this one with Croatian edition.
