Bottle. Pours nearly clear amber with small but stable white head. Clear aroma of booze and fruit, with malty notes. Bitter, hoppy flavour, with smoky notes, clear hints of whisky malt and/or barrel. Bitter, boozy aftertaste, with lingering smoky touches. OK but nothing mind-blowing.

Bottle at Fastelavn Smagning 2014 @ J&C’s beer palace, Jutland 28/02/14. Hazed orange amber with moderate off white spotting. Nose is smoked malts, bread dough, caramel. Taste comprises smoked malts, toffee, smoked meat, light spice. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Decent enough smoked beer but whisky ? What, where ? Maybe a light spice in the close that could be this ’whisky’ thing!

50 cL bottle. Pours cloudy orange with a fully gone head. Aroma is solid iodine smoked and caramelish. Dry and smooth smoked, iodine and mild metallic. Caramelish. Smooth malty and smoked. Caramelish finish.

Bottle. It’s an almost clear one, golden in color and with a minimal light beige head. The aroma has the smoked malts dominating, with a woody bonfire touch in the back. Caramel notes. There’s a nice bitterness in the flavor, with caramel and of course the smoke dominating. Pretty smoked finish with a touch of metal. Well, there’s certainly some good going on here, but it’s far from at the levels of the best German style smoked. 140228

Pours hazy deep golden with a off-white head. Aroma has notes of malt, peat, smoke and floral. Taste is medium sweet and light bitter with a caramel and peat finish. Body is medium, texture is thin to oily, carbonation is soft.

Bottle @ fonefan tasting. Hazy golden with a tiny off-white head. Aroma is sweet, malty, fruity and peat. Flavor is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Dry and moderate bitter finish with some alcohol. 280214
