Pours dark browned amber. Small to no head. Scent has some dried fruits, milder caramel. borubon and wood are lost. Medium intensity, far lighter than expected. Taste is medium full, rather creamy, dried fruits, caramel, some whiff of chocolate. Lovely balance, not over the top yet. Barrel is lost though. Nice.

2012 edition, now almost 8 years old. Pours a dark colour, way too dark for a triple, with particles flotaing around. An off white head with short retention. Aroma's of caramel/candy sugar, dark fruit, zwartwit, umami, a bit boozy. Retronasal there's sweet & sour fruit, candies, raisins, light bourbon vanilla, umami. Flavour is moderate sweet with light herbs. Medium bodied. Long finish with some herbs, light bitterness. Way past its prime, but still quite nice.
