Bottle at home, darker brown beer, small head. Aroma is roast, malt, caramel, liquorice, fruit. Taste is the same, roast, malt, liquorice, dark fruit, sweet, caramel, bitter aftertaste. nice one.

330ml bottle. Clear, dark brown colour with ruby shimmer and average to huge, firm, frothy to creamy, moderately to mostly lasting, moderately lacing, dark beige to tan head. Slightly chocolately and minimally spicy, dark and caramel malty aroma, yeasty fruity overtones, a touch of liquorice, dried fruit, red berries. Taste is sweet-ish, chocolately, minimalyl roasty-spicy, dark malty, caramel malty and yeasty fruity, hints of dried fruit, a touch of liquorice, red berries.
Dissolved sugar enriched, watery texture, smooth and soft, simultaneously minimally dry palate, medium, dense, prickly carbonation.
Balanced and harmonious, mild and clean - very nice.

Bruin bier met veel stevig crème kleurig schuim. Smaak is bitterzoet en licht kruidig met iets van chocolade, wat karamel en een heel zwak fruitig zuurtje.

18 December 2023. Christmas Beer Evening Part 2 with the lovely Anke! Bottle from Mr. Hop.
A: hazy dark brown, small, foamy, tan head.
A: pear syrup, raisin, caramel, liquorice, candied orange peel.
T: sweet raisin, pear, syrup & liquorice, sourish orange.
F: herbal hops, spices, dried fruit, syrup, warming liqueur-like alcohol.
P: medium body, syrupy texture, average carbonation.
Typical spicy Belgian, but with a nice fruity touch.

(Bottle, 0.33 l, from Speciaalbierpakket, 20230520) The beer poured brown and cloudy. Its head was large, lightly brown and it lasted long. Aroma had malts, caramel, dark chocolate and Belgian style yeast. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, caramel, candi sugar, toasted notes, Belgian style yeast and bitterness. Aftertaste had toasted notes, malts and bitterness. A nice malty and sweet brew.

Dark brown with quick fading head. Nice sweet aroma of caramel, brown sugar, chestnut. Initial sweet taste, syrupy, almost treacle. It doesn't get cloying though. Has a warming alcohol tickle. Slight roasted bitter element.

33cl bottle. A clear dark brown beer with a beige head. Aroma of raisins, intense dark malt, ripe fruits. Taste of raisins, dark caramelized malt, red fruits, melasse, some herbs.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Aroma is dried fruits with brown malts, caramel, spicy notes, plum, and raisins. Flavour is medium sweet and light bitter. Medium body. Enjoyable winter beer, dig the strong dried fruit.

Fles thuis geprobeerd. Het is een donkerbruin bier met een volle beige schuim. Het heeft een zoete wat kruidige geur. De smaak is moutig, stroop achtig met een kruidige kruidnagel achtige afdronk.
