Bottle shared. Dark brown with a small tan head. Aroma of malt, overripe dark fruits and caramel. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and light moderate bitter. Above medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Flesje gekregen van Tomhendriksen. Donkerbruin bier met mooie schuimkraag. Aroma van fruit en port. Smaak is licht zuur maar met tonen van donker fruit pruimen, kersen en rozijnen. Nasmaak is zacht, iets houtig en later bitter.

Dark brown with thin head and no carbonation. Aroma and flavour are quite sweet with lots of bready malts and a bit of banana. There's a little bit of yeast too. A bit light bodied and needs a bit more carbonation.

Bottle (from het biermoment). Aroma is sweet, malty, sugary, fruity. Flavor is sweet and bitter, caramel, malt, booze, fruits, black plums, hops. Finish is sugary and dry fruity bitter. Overall: good, quite hoppy for the style.

330 ml. bottle split with Kraddel. Deep red La Trappe (as I remember it) colour, little tanned head. Nose is sweet candied apple, maple, sticky, sugar, malt, bit cloying but in a positive way. Slightly bitter upfront, bitter leaves & herbs, largely cloying maple, leaves & candied apple, slick, one bodied in taste,.. Bit cloying caramel, slick, candied apple body. Sick, malt is cloying syrup. Quite good for a classic NL Belgian styled brew.

Thnx to eugene. Pours ruby redbrown, small white head. Smell is sweet, fall leaves. Bit simple perhaps. Taste is sweet, leaves innthe fall, bit strange , almost astrigent (wrang) mf, ok carbom way to simple, somewhat sweet, at a too high ABV for what you get. Not a fan.

Bottle @ home. Clear dark red color, medium sized beige head that lasts for a decent while. Aroma is malts, a soft undertone of darker malts with a slight burn to it, sweet ripe plums, dark fruits. Taste malts, medium to heavy malt base and malt bitterness, behind that layer up front there’s again some dark fruits, raisins but not that firm, toasted malts lightly, jam, (Dutch) "stroop", some alcohol though not disturbing but as you’d expect from a 10% ABV quad. In the end this is a completely different Quadrupel than for instance La Trappe Quad, which is way sweeter. I don’t know whether they have intended this version on the rather bitter side I would say, but I think they did a pretty good job, even if this beer may officially not qualify as a quadrupel. And for those of you who dislike a lot of quadrupels because of their sweetness, this is one you might like. Well done I’d say, well done.

Fles gekregen van Roelzie1986. Het is een donkerrood bier met weinig schuim. Het heeft tonen van roodfuit met een beetje een zoethout achtige afdronk.
