Cognac Barrel is an amber type beer worked with French oak wood and Cognac. The nose is woody, suave and the superb tan color is reminiscent of that of the famous spirit. Round, complex and rich, it appeals to all types of amateurs.

Bottled shared (Thank you Davido!). Dried apricot and fig with some spice, oak and marmalade with a dash of floral honey-like notes. Active carbonation but not as heavy as you would think for the style. A bit boozy, but smooth. Nice dry finish. --- Beer merged from original tick of Cognac Barrel on 21 Sep 2015 at 18:13 - Score: 8
