Geel bier met mooie stevige schuimkraag die lang blijft staan. Smaak is bitterzoet en ietwat kruidig met iets van koriander, wat honing en gember. Heeft een lange en warme afdronk.

Bottle from Geers. When opening the bottle, a loud bang and beer gushing all around. I could save about 15cl. Lots and lots of foam, nothing else. When the foam settled down, a murky amber beer. Nose of banana, sweet malts, dried fruit, some herbal notes (cloves, coriander). Not very bad all in all.

F: huge, egg-white, good retention. C: gold, shiny hazy. A: malty, coriander, banana, vaguely fruity, red apples peels, bit juniper alcohol, spicy, herbal touch, honey. T: malty, banana, fruity, honey, herbal, spicy, coriander, medium to full body, bit harsh bitterness, higher carbonation, similar as many others triples here in BE yet not bad for me, 33cl bottle from Beerwulf webshop.

One of the more recent Silly beers, since 2016 apparently, bottle from Belbière. Dense and regular, very creamy, thick papery lacing, egg-white, stable head over an initially clear ‘metallic’ old gold-coloured beer with pale orangey hue and columns of fierce sparkling rising up from the bottom, shifting to a misty, deeper peach blonde with sediment. Aroma of strong bubblegum, very strong soapy coriander seed (almost bath foam- and dry kitchen herb-like), red apple, sweetbread, dough, banana, meringue, young ‘jenever’, grass, white pepper and a whiff of iron. Sweetish onset dominated by very pronounced isoamylacetate, very bubblegummy and banana-like, with peach- and pear-like side notes; sourish undertone accentuated by sharp, rather numbing (over)carbonation. Slick, ‘white bready’ and cereally malt sweetish middle, flavoured with the expected, soapy, very strong coriander seed spiciness, more so than average for a tripel and even more so than in many witbiers (where coriander spicing is typically very explicit), blending with a late, leafy and bit peppery hop bitter note, in itself made more bitter by a wry ‘jenever’-like alcohol effect in the tail. Boozy, overcoriandered, overcarbonated bubblegummy tripel: this is as cliché as the style gets. Unnecessarily old-fashioned beer, but in itself of an acceptable quality level.

Dark golden colour with lasting fluffy head. Aroma and flavour are very sweet. There's some gingery, cakey, spicy notes. Some clove too.

Süffiger, kräutriger Beginn. Gewürzig, helles Malz, geringe Bitterkeit. Erhöhte Karbonisierung, trocken, erstaunlich süffig. Erkennbarer Alkohol. 9/8/9/8/9/8
