Our favorite porter with just a touch of the tropics. This Coconut Victory at Sea takes our popular Imperial Porter to another place. We added sweet roasted coconut to our robust porter brewed with Caffe Calabria coffee and vanilla, the perfect complement to this beer’s subtle roasty intensity. A favorite at our annual Victory at Sea Day, but it’s worth enjoying anytime you need to be transported.

Growler shared by Jack, thanks! Pours a deep brown with a red hue and a chocolate brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma combines coffee and coconut with a dark grain and roasted malts supporting. Flavor has a nice combination of coffee and coconut with a roasted malt and dark grain backbone.

On draft at The Good Hop. It pours black with a creamy tan head. The aroma is full with sweet coconut and Mounds bar. A little creamy, mocha coffee. Smells delish. The flavor is the same. Hard roasted malt with solid earthy bitterness, big sweet coconut and chocolate. It has a rather resinous bitter and toasted finish. Killer stuff.

Black with a tan head. Aroma is sweet coconut, chocolate, vanilla, a bit of molasses. Toasty flavor with sweet chocolate, vanilla, molasses, almost bourbon like without the booze heat. Good brew but my 4oz was probably all I can do in a sitting.
