Almost no head, hazy foxy redbrown beer; no visible carbonation. Smokey nose, smoked wood, hint at tarr, spruce. Further hints of maple syrup. First taste impression is sweet, almost non-hopped worts-like. Wet bread. Again - if only lightly - smoked notes, and just a bit of acidity surrounding the main taste. Hints at other grains - especially oats. Finish is mildly smoked malts. Warming up, a flavour as from smoked mushrooms. Very light body, obviously, but not empty. No carbonation, still. Enormously interesting, and more so, quite pleasing. To find something like this (check the ingredients!), with a load of local things assembled, instead of crazy we-try-everything-craft, in craft-crazy Poland is a treat. And abject thanks to Jaca for getting this gem to Antwerpen!
