Hopfig-frischer Geruch, schwarzbieruntypisch. Antrunk frisch-herb, für ein Dunkles erstaunlich herb. Der Hauptteil wird süßlicher und angenehm malzig. Leichte Röstmalzaromen spürbar. Der Nachgeschmack ist herb und langanhaltend, die Herbe passt aber sehr gut zu der malzig/röstmalzigen Note. Ganz leichte Süße wahrnehmbar.

Bottle: Light amber to amber coloured, small and persistent off-white head, moderate sweetish-caramelly nose; moderate bitter-sweet flavour, quite light bodied; slightly lingering caramelly-bitter finish. Pretty good...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, amber to chestnut-brown colour with a medium-sized and slightly tanned foamy head. Slightly toasted malty aroma with caramel and nut-puree, accompanied by a tinge of molasses and draff. Moderately sweet and slightly bitter flavour, rather light with a moderate carbonation. Toasty malty base with hints of caramel, a nutty touch and mildly hoppy spice from the middle part; mildly bitter and herbal hoppy finish with bready and toasty malt in the aftertaste. 04.V.12

Bottled@One Pint Pub, Helsinki. Deep amber colour, not even copper deep, with a small slightly off-white head. Aroma is caramel malts, some sweet wood, grass and mild resin. Flavour is caramel, some wood and mild sweet bready notes. Mild toasted notes as well.

Sehr milder Antrunk mit leichten Hopfenandeutungen. Das Malz kommt kaum zum Zuge, es ist nur schwach im Mittelteil vorhanden und weicht einer Getreidenote, die nun wirklich nicht stark ist. Immerhin verharrt das Malz im Hintergrund und kommt im Abgang zum Zuge, hier ist es mit dem Getreide auf einer Note. Erfrischend und mild ist das Bier, allerdings sind das nicht unbedingt die richtigen Attribute für ein Dunkles. Zuletzt immerhin etwas kräftiger und deutlich herb.
