It poured a brown liquid with a light brown head. Malty caramel flavour. Smooth mouthfeel, medium thick body.

bottle, mit Dank an pivnizub! Clear deep brown colour, almost black, with a tiny beige head. Aroma of chocolate and strawberries. Malty with hints of chocolate, caramel and (again) strawberries. Unusual, but very interesting beer.

(bottle) Clear, ruby brown colour with a short off-white foamy layer. Sweet toast-malty aroma with notes of caramel, light molasses and shades of herbal hops. Sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a flat carbonation. Slightly sticky toast-malty taste with caramel, light Blockmalz-character (molasses); sweet toasty finish with a shy hoppy bitterness and herbal notes. The brewery has obviously serious problems with their bottle filling. 13.XI.09

Bottle: Chestnut-amber coloured, clear, visible carbonation, smaller lacy off-white head; light to moderate aroma of sourdough, bread and roasted malt with a caramelly-bitter background; light to moderate sweetish-bitter flavour, light to medium bodied; slightly drier light to moderate toasty-nutty finish with traces of molasses and some bitterness in the aftertaste. Even though the label says "Schwarzbier", this is a well crafted bavarian Dunkel..........

Test vom 25.4.2008, Gebinde: Glasflasche Noten: 8,9,12,9,11,9 - 9,45
