Bottle from Hogs Back Brewery. The whisky is the aroma. Dark and glossy. Whispy beige head. Sour. Surprisingly sour. With some underlying bitterness. Light-medium bodied. Thin. Low key fizzy carbonation. Interesting. I thought this was more like a Belgian brown and I see that it does include their Oud Bruin.

On tap at Fuggles Beer Cafe Tonbridge. Very dark brown mostly black beer lasting tan head. oud bruin sour aroma. Sour in mouth. Light oak. Some vanilla maybe. Mostly an oud bruin which is pretty attractive and good fun. Some sourness on finish. Fun.

26/01/2018 - 37,5 cl bottle @Moeder Lambic Fontainas. Very dark brown, beige yellowish head. Nose starts cheesy, bit mocha, whiskey, later on hints of vanilla, sour touch. Taste is cheese, sour touch, bit oak, bit leather, bit roast, Oud Bruin touch, gets better and better...

Bottle shared by Inoven @ Inoven rates 1k tasting! Very nice red-brown color with a deep dark red glare, almost purple, coming through when held into the light. Average sized light brown colored head. Aroma is malts and oak barrel tart. Flavor is similar, tart / oak wood sourness, some bitterness in there as well. Average body, medium to firm carbonation. Meh. Not a fan.

Flesje gedeeld met Benzai. Roodbruin bier met stevig schuim. Aroma is heerlijk zoet en fruitig. Smaak is helaas wat zuur. Ook de nasmaak is zuur.

At a tasting, small bubbly fizzy head, aroma of plaster, some smoke and dark bread, dominant flavor of camembert cheese, some dark fruit, soy and a hint of dark bread, some vanila and whiskey coming through later. Very interesting and highly enjoyable.
