Leicht getreidiger, deutlich malziger Antrunk. Milde passende Süße, dunkler werdend, dabei dezent karamellig. Vergoren fruchtig, süffig. Weich malziger Ausklang. 11/11/11/11//11

(from the tap at the brewpub) Hazy, dark amber colour with a short frothy beige head. Sweet malty and toasty, slightly molassy aroma with caramel, red berries and shy notes of herbal hops. Sweet and slightly sour flavour, medium to full body, crispy carbonation. Toast-malty taste with caramel, red berries and prunes; medium-dry malty finish with fruity and bitter-yeasty notes and a touch of cinnamon in the aftertaste. The high ABV is surprisingly well-integrated and warming. Not a world-shaking but quaffable strong Maibock, that could have ripened a bit longer (04.06.06).
