Leicht herber, süffig getreidiger Beginn. Trotz der Milde des Bieres erscheint das Ganze harmonisch und gelungen. Süffig, ok. Etwas trockener Nachhall. 7/9/8/9/8/9

Bottle: Golden, smaller - rather quickly collapsing - white head; a touch of herbal hops in the sweetish grainy-strawy nose, a slight buttery touch in the background; moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft and nearly medium bodied; solid sweet-malty to strawy finish with a delicate bitter touch in the aftertaste. Well quaffable Helles.....

(bottle) Clear, pale golden colour with a blond mid-sized foamy head. Strawy malty nose with a tinge of biscuits and shy herbal hops. Moderately sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a mildly carbonated mouthfeel. Strawy malt-character with traces of biscuits and honey; medium-dry sweet pale malty finish with a shy whiff of hoppy bitterness. A bit boring but still drinkable brew. 18.X.10

The bottle looks good, the beer in the glass also. Starts quite spicy, strong, a little bit alcoholic. Wheaty notes, malty in the background, modest sourish finish, still very spicy. Good beer!

previously tested on German BTO 02/2007: Schöne Flasche, die dunklen Tannenwald symbolisiert. Süßlich-malziges Bier, kaum herb. Marzipannote. Schmeckt gut, ist aber nicht besonders rezent.
