Pours a clear, dark brown colour with a beige and short foamy layer. Roast-malty, bready and crusty aroma with caramel, coffee and a whiff of vanilla.

Dunkler, leicht süßer und angenehm röstiger Antrunk. Würzig brotiger Mittelteil, dabei ein rundes hopfenbitteres Aroma. Zum Ende entsprechend herb, dabei bleibt die Malzigkeit intensiv. Gut! 11/11/12/11/11/11

1l bottle, bought at the brewery. Looks simple, but good. Beer in the glass deep black, nice head. Starts malty-smokey, not too dry, a bit spicy. Finish well balanced, soft-malty, modest sweet. Quite drinkable and really a good schwarzbier!
