OUR STRAIGHT-UP STRAIN: THE ‘BLUE DREAM’ IPA
Trailblazers don’t torch a new passageway and then stop; they keep finding new ways in and new ways back out. That’s exactly what we did with our metamodern IPA conceived of hand-selected hops from down under. Malt barley and red wheat combine to create a clean malt backbone with a foolproof flavor and mouthfeel to support America’s sneak peek at Enigma, Vic Secret, Ella and Galaxy hops. The hops strum juicy and sweet aromas with headline notes of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus. This intense, straight-up strain is Oskar Blues IPA (6.43% ABV).

355ml can into shaker, brewed in Brevard, North Carolina. Aroma of pine needles and bitter lemon. Hazy golden amber beer with two finger white head. Very faint lacing. A few tiny bubbles ascend. Flat mouthfeel, oily texture. Sharp and bitter taste leads to an earthy hoppy finish. Some pepper and dried fruit right at the end. Classic IPA, really easy drinking.

355ml can into shaker. Says ’Brevard, North Carolina’ across the bottom of the can. Nose is tart and tropical. Pineapple and orange. Hazy orange/ amber beer with solid white head and a few bubbles. Very strong raspberry notes, hoppy and astringent. Long bitter finish with that intriguing raspberry flavour lurking in the background. Easy drinking, no sign of 6.4%.

Slightly hazy warm golden colour, white head. Hoppy aroma, honey. Bitter hoppy flavour. Hoppy finish. Decent IPA.

Can purchased at Beer Supreme, Oldenburg. Pours unclear golden with an one finger white head. Smells floral hopy. Taste starts strong hopy, some honey and floweresque elements. Also strong hopy in the middle part, some dry pale grain. Okay.

Can. Hazy orange color with white head. Aroma is pineapple, grapefruit, toasted malts. Taste is pineapples, toffee, toasted malts, nettles, herbal. Medium bitter finish. Oily mouthfeel with a very soft carbonation. Classic, clean and balanced IPA.
