OUR STRAIGHT-UP STRAIN: THE ‘BLUE DREAM’ IPA

Trailblazers don’t torch a new passageway and then stop; they keep finding new ways in and new ways back out. That’s exactly what we did with our metamodern IPA conceived of hand-selected hops from down under. Malt barley and red wheat combine to create a clean malt backbone with a foolproof flavor and mouthfeel to support America’s sneak peek at Enigma, Vic Secret, Ella and Galaxy hops. The hops strum juicy and sweet aromas with headline notes of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus. This intense, straight-up strain is Oskar Blues IPA (6.43% ABV).

Smash a Blue Ferrigno… and it’ll smash back.

Draught @ tommyknocker. Poured deep golden color with a thick white head. Malty, hoppy nose, bit tired, dark fruity. Flavor has citrusy hops, malts, dark fruits. Feels bit old. Drinkable though.

Can picked up from Asda at Brighton Marina, consumed at Sirius Boardwalk Apartments, Thursday 18th January 2018 in the company of Barry and Lynn Pours hazy light gold with a white head a touch of pine on the nose, soft in the mouth, lovely bitter furry edge, citrussy but with a spikey, streakiness throughout, this is a very good beer, nice bittersweet balance. Lovely stuff. A7 A4 T8 P4 Ov15 3.8

Can from ASDA, Halifax. Mildly hazed golden-amber ale with a frothy head. Pineapple is light but the dominant mix of several citrus fruits, and they combine to hide this beer's strength well.

On tap at Oskar Blues - Austin, pours a hazy golden with a small white head. Aroma is fairly laid back, with light piney hops and crisp biscuity malt. Flavour is pretty generic, with crisp crackery malt and bitter piney hops. Very dry and crisp, with a biting bitterness on the finish. Good.
