OUR STRAIGHT-UP STRAIN: THE ‘BLUE DREAM’ IPA
Trailblazers don’t torch a new passageway and then stop; they keep finding new ways in and new ways back out. That’s exactly what we did with our metamodern IPA conceived of hand-selected hops from down under. Malt barley and red wheat combine to create a clean malt backbone with a foolproof flavor and mouthfeel to support America’s sneak peek at Enigma, Vic Secret, Ella and Galaxy hops. The hops strum juicy and sweet aromas with headline notes of passion fruit, raspberries, pineapple and citrus. This intense, straight-up strain is Oskar Blues IPA (6.43% ABV).

Can from J’s. Pours a slightly hazy gold with a finger of foam. Grapefruit and citrus aromas with a touch of overripe orange juice. Light and quaffable. Well-balanced with a lingering piney bitterness.

Caña en Cimmeria 03..03..2017 (r514). Color dorado rubio con espuma blanca Aromas y sabores frescos verdes herbaceos y ligeros toques maltosos algo dulces afrutados. Amargo seco y resinoso herbaceo final bastante duradero. Cuerpo medio algo espumoso y con gas. Bastante buena.

On tap at Brother’s Beer. Pours pale gold. Orange, tangerine, sweet lemon, little floral, little acidity. Pretty nice.

Can 12fl.oz. @ Nya Tröls, Karlskrona Plan 1, 214 36 Malmö, Sweden. [ As Oskar Blues IPA ].ABV: 6.49%. Clear medium orange color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, pale malt, caramel, moderate to heavy hoppy, citrus, fruity hops, grapefruit. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, pale malt, hoppy, fruity hops, sweet malt, light pine. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20160403] 7-3-7-3-15

Golden-amber, moderate hazy body, with a big, fluffy, lacing, off-white head.
Aroma of grapefruit, grass, passion fruit, orange, biscuit, some caramel.
Tastes quite similar, but a bit lighter.
Medium, oily mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes bitter, quite dry, a bit warm, not very aromatic, zesty, a bit piney, slightly medical.
Nice one, while not that special. Straight, clean and fresh, but a bit too light for my liking. Drinks more like a Pale Ale aroma-wise, even the finish hasn’t got too much aromas, despite being pretty bitter and dry. Overall not on par with their other hoppy stuff I’ve had, while still decent.
