Sampled from 0.65 l bottle at RBBSG 2016 in Evergem. Sweetish-malty aroma of caramel, honey and vanilla. Very sweet, malty taste of caramel, honey, vanilla and some oak, followed by a rather long, slightly bitter, quite warming-alcoholic finish. Medium body, oily mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Nice!

3/IX/16 - 1Pt. 6Fl. Oz. bottle from the brewery, shared @ RBBSG V (Klaas' place) - BB: n/a (2016-947) Thanks to Mathieu for fetching me the bottle!

Somewhat surprised at the medium to "just good" ratings at the gathering. Judging from what was left in my bottle by the time it got to me, I could've sworn everybody would have given it a 4+...

Clear reddish brown to amber beer, irregular off-white head, unstable, non adhesive. Aroma: sweet, lots of dried fruits, caramel, sugary, malty. MF: soft carbon, medium to full body. Taste: lots and lots of vanilla, bit sugary, caramel, pretty sweet, quite some bourbon. Aftertaste: more vanilla, caramel, sweet bourbon, dried fruits. Lovely beer indeed, at least judging from the few drops I had.

Waxed bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours dark copper with a slight tan head. Aroma of fruit, malt, possibly smoke. Deep inhale suggests whiskey. Med + body. Flavor starts fruit/malt, moves on to whiskey, gets further to oak, and then some smoke settles in. It even leaves a little peat on the tongue. But it’s definitely not overdone. Maybe Seattle whiskey is lighter than the homelands’, or maybe the brewer’s timing was very good. Nicely done ale.

Medium caramel in color with a light head. Sweet sugary caramel aroma with light vanilla. Medium, bubbly body. Flavor is sweet with a fake whiskey note to it. I feel like I’m missing something here because I found this beer to be singular and lacking any real whiskey/wood/interesting notes. I much prefer the standard Kilt Lifter.
