Pike Kilt Lifter aged in Dry Fly Distilling barrels. Pike Wood-Aged Kilt Lifter starts with the sweet and spicy notes of bourbon, wheat, and triticale whiskeys, and finishes smoothly with full malt character and a hint of smoke. A chest warming treat for the winter!

Draft 14 oz pour at the collective as part of the brewers night. Pours a dark cloudy red color with a mild oaky aroma. Thick body, mostly dry, dusty flavor. Nutty, with hints of vanilla and a big caramel finish. Wood barrel comes through for sure. Fun beer to try. Quite tasty.

On tap at Seattle Winter Beer Festival 2014, pours an opaque dirty dark orange amber with a small beige head. Aroma brings out huge notes of whiskey, wood and booze. Flavour is thankfully not quite as boozy, but still with lots of whiskey upfront, followed by caramel and wood. Nicely constructed, though finishing a bit boozy. Nice stuff.

1st rater. Sampler at Chucks. Halo thick lacing atop muddy, messy brown body. Very earthy and slightly caramel aroma with whisky just nicely melding in. Present but nowhere near strong. Flavor starts light with faintly yeast fruit earth then comes some tingling carbonation and a punch of soft whiskey and unsugary sweet earthy caramel finish. Good carbonation to meld the flavors.
