»The Original« Naturally cloudy and full-bodied – Genuine strong beer enjoyment. When Duke Erich handed Martin Luther a mug of Einbecker Beer at the Worms Reichstag in the year 1521 Martin Luther called out “the best drink known to man is called Ainpöckisch Beer.” His love to Katharina von Bora and to Ainpöckisch Beer was also shown at his wedding in Wittenberg when the council of the town of Wittenberg presented him a barrel of Einbecker as a gift. Already after his disputation in Leipzig in the year 1519 the council of the town of Wittenberg did welcome him by a jar of Einbecker Beer.

Bottle 33 cl. Hazy golden with a white head. Aroma is clearly light struck - and dominated by that alone. Medium body, malty, boozy with a solid bitter finish. Pity with the skunk. 260417

Bottle. Cloudy amber/orange. Nice head that dissolves rather quickly. Aroma of floral hops, sweet malts and a hint of citrus fruits. Earthy and grainy. Taste is sweet malts, grains and grass. Bitter and honey-sweet finish. Strong carbonation. Some alcoholic warmth. Nice mouthfeel. Probably the most balanced of the Einbecker pale Bocks. Dangerously drinkable. Well done.

Beer Table To Go, New York City bottle: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is a sort of floral, bubblegum candy type thing... Taste is rather sweet. Quite bockish in all respects. In fairness, this is pretty good, as much as the style does not impress me. Slight alcohol notes at the finish.

Komm, gib mir deine bier. 330 ml bottle. Pours a honey gold color topped by a small dense frothy head. Big grainy malt nose hints at fresh sauerkraut. Subtle, sweet grainy malt flavor has notes of hay, lemon, toast and grassy hops. Some warming alcohol notes in midtaste. Finish is honey malt with some citrus hops. A very nice pale bock. Oh, komm doch. Komm zu mir.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey, deep golden colour with average, thick, frothy to creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, white head. Sweet-ish malty aroma, notes of honey, cereals, corn flakes, grassy and minimally floral hoppy overtones. Taste is minimally sweet malty, husky, hints of cereals, a touch of honey, bitter hoppy counterweight with a grassy and minimally floral touch. Well balanced, not too sweet.

Bottle, 6.7%. Mild caramelly and bready aroma. Cloudy golden colour. Small frothy chalk white head. The flavour is bready with a good caremally note. Quite bready with a n oily mouthfeel from the yeast, I guess. Good bitterness and vinous finish.

Bottle. Pours hazy light amber with stable white head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of hops and touches of citrus. Sweetish flavour of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and fruity hints, complemented by bitter, hoppy notes. Rich body. Estery and malty aftertaste. A very decent Heller Bock!
