Im London des 18. Jahrhunderts soll der Vorläufer des Porter ein Getränk bestehend aus je einem Drittel Ale, gemeinem Bier und hochwertigem «Twopenny Ale» gewesen sein. Es wurde Porter genannt, weil es besonders bei den Lastträgern beliebt gewesen sei. Das Müller Bräu Red Porter Ale vereint nur feinste Spezialmalze, hochwertiger Aromahopfen und eigenes Quellwasser.

It is an interesting beer, on the way of the Irish ale, watery, a bit metalic, malty and sweet for the style, lovely red/orange color, 05.07.17, at Prélaz, finding it at one Denner, in promotion.

Bottiglia. Il gusto al naso propende per l'orzo tostato. L'olfatto viene stimolato in maniera normale e il modo in cui permane è sufficiente. Il cappello di schiuma ha una buona tenuta. La grandezza delle bollicine è medio-fine. Il colore è ambrato carico tendente marrone. Il corpo è rotondo. L'amaro è di media potenza. La forza gustativa è normale e permane in maniera sufficiente. Le sensazioni boccali finali risultano di birra beverina. Il retrogusto è di media intensità. Il tetto della bocca trova indizi di miele, caramello, frutta secca ed erbaceo.

Appearance: Dark reddish brown, crystal clear. Small light tan head. Aroma: Red fruits, caramel sweetness, sweet malt. Taste: Red fruits, medium malt. Some caramel sweetness. Not your typical porter. Bought: Garosch, 330 ml, CHF 2.60 Info: 23/4-2021, BB: 9/6-2021

Frothy off-white good mostly lasting head. Amber colour. Moderate malty and light hoppy aroma. Light bitter very carammelic flavor. Average light bitter finish. Oily palate.

0.33l bottle from coop in zurich. pours a clear reddish amber with a big frothy beige head. mild aroma of leaves, roast, a hint of spruce. flavour of leaves, bread. slightly roasty, but a porter?

Süßlich malziger, wässrig herber Antrunk. Dieses Aroma bleibt konstant, dazu kommt eine leichte Bitterkeit. Wässrig süß-brotiger Nachhall. 8/8/9/8/8/8
