Our only “double-malt” beer. The name, suggested by the poet Valentino Zeichen, conjures up images of the two-faced Roman god Janus, guardian of change and lifecycles. Brewed with a blend of carefully selected grains, it has a dark amber colour, distinct and harmonious flavour, delicate aromas and a thick head. It pairs wonderfully with complex dishes, red meat, shellfish and mussels.

Bottle. Pours opaque reddish brown. Zesty, light biscuit, funk, almond, herbal. Medium body. Decent.

At Terre, From a bottle in Brooklyn: pours brown with an off-white head. Aroma is Dark fruit, like figs and the like... yeast. Taste is yeasty and slightly sweet. Sort of woody notes. Some complexity. Not bad.

Dunkler, süßlich hefig-herber Antrunk. Angenehm weiche Malzigkeit, die Herbe bleibt konstant. Harmonisch, Noten von Kräuter und Schokolade. Weich bitter, geringe Alkoholnoten. 10/11/11/11/10/11

Bottiglia @ Golosaria 2015, Milano. L’intensità olfattiva è elevata e la persistenza olfattiva è considerevole. Il cappello di schiuma ha una discreta resistenza. Il colore è marrone scuro. Il corpo è più che rotondo. L’intensità gustativa è elevata e la persistenza gustativa è sufficiente. Il gusto è piacevole. L’aroma in bocca ha i sentori di caramello, erba, resina e frutta secca.
