Fläschla (333ml): Deep ruby-amber coloured, almost clear, small off-white foamy layer; sweetish toasty-roasty and caramelly nose, traces of coffee detectable; solid sweet - almost cloying - flavour, nevertheless only light bodied; lingering toasty and caramelly finish with a very delicate bitterness and a - as well - very delicate acidity in the aftertaste. Too sweet, too monotonous...

(bottle, 33cl) Clear, mahogany colour with a beige and short foamy head. Roasty malty aroma with notes of dark chocolate, mocha, vanilla, as well as hints of burnt wood and mildly fruity accents of dark and red berries. Mildly roasty bitter and discreetly sweet flavour, rather light bodied with a soft carbonation. Slightly roasty malt character, notes of dark chocolate and mildly hints of coffee, mocha; mildly bitter-sweet finish with mildly roasty, leathery notes, accompanied by a discreetly fruity touch. A tad slim, but likeable. 27.VII.16
