Awarded ‘Best in Gloucestershire’ for two consecutive years. Perry made mainly from the perry pear ‘Blakeney Red’. Pale straw in colour, crisp and fresh, gives a beautiful explosion of pear on the palate, leaving a pleasant lingering tannic after taste. Good with fish dishes and for drinking on its own.

Polycask @ GBBF 2013, Great British Beer Festival, London Olympia, Hammersmith Road, London, England W14 8UX. [ As Severn Sider Perry (2) ]. Unclear light yellow color with virtually no head. Aroma is moderate pear, pear skin, sweet pear, horse blanket. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet with a long duration, pear, pear skin, green pears, sugary. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft to flat. [20130816]
