Clear gold pour with a big white head and some lacing. Grainy malt aroma with a bit of hops. The flavor is of grainy mild, crisp, mild hops bitterness, and some citrus character. It's nothing great but it's alright.

Not a bad lager, although I do feel a tad skeptical of a triple-hopped beer saying it's good for a year. This can was produced in January; I'm wondering what it's lost in the seven-plus months since it left the line. As it is, it runs a little sweet, with subtle corn and grain notes underlined by apple and lemon, with some orange and pine coming from the Centennials and more gentle floral hop notes in the fade. Not bad, but not a classic, either.

Crisp, golden and peach coloured body with a nice, two to three centimetre tall just off-white head that fades fairly slowly. Aroma of light lager yeast, some fresh cut grass, a dose of flowers and biscuits with a soft sweetness from caster sugar and more of the lager yeast. Light-bodied; Very fresh hop flavours show at first that show some floral notes, a good amount of fresh cut grass, some very subdued herbal notes and a lot more of the biscuity and grain notes from the malt and yeast than anything else, that ends with some bready flavours and a good touch of crisp, fresh flavours. Aftertaste shows the very pungent and dominant aspects of a lager from the crisp grain to the pungent yeasts, the light astringency, the flowers and most notably - the crisp, biscuity yeast strain that doesn't show much variance - quite strong and very strong in this one. Overall, a nice, fresh hopped lager that has it's origins in Germany, but taking advantage of American - quite nice and respectable throughout, even for those not keen on the purity law, this was a nice option in the land of 'overdoing' everything - a step back in time, if you will. I sampled this 33 cL can, purchased from Whole Foods in Arlington (Clarendon), Virginia on 06-May-2020 for US$2,09 sampled at my house here in Washington on 23-August-2020.

Expected a lot more from these two guys working together. there are a lot better hoppy pale lagers out there than this. Aromas are pineapple and pale malt. Flavors are generally sweet with some lingering bitburger bitterness in the finish Don't really taste much hops. One and done.

Can 330ml. @ home on the small terrace.
