Served from 16 ounce Prowler.

It pours a clear deep amber, the head of foam is aboot a fingers worth.

The smell is of caramel malt, bourbon and vanilla.

Caramel malt and bourbon taste, vanilla, and dark fruits. Alcohol is noticeable.

Only medium bodied, lightish carbonation.

Interesting "Quad ". Not something I would yearn for after sipping on the first 8 ounces but not a dull offering for sure.

Bottle. Pours a hazy amber with a small creamy beige head. Aroma is bourbon, tangerine notes and caramel. Taste follows nose, with the emphasis being on the bourbon. Some stone fruit and vanilla. Boozy finish. Not sure I'd call this a quad. Would have been more interesting without the barrel aging, but overall, it's not bad.

Bottle shared. Dark caramel pour with a thin off-white head. Tons of caramelized tangerines up front, followed by caramel, toffee, caramelized fruit candy, light bourbon. Complex and sweet. --- Beer merged from original tick of Avery Tangerine Quadrupel on 30 Jul 2017 at 11:47 - Score: 8. Original review text: I liked this one, tons of caramelized tangerines and a decent amount of bourbon

Bright dark amber, thin head. Aroma has some heavier phenols...plastics and maybe some higher alcohols, along with a mellow indistinct fruit. Sticky, light tangerine that fails to complement the heavier quad notes, which are a mellower version of what’s on the nose.

Bottle at PIB 2017, pours a hazy chestnut brown with a small tan head. Aroma brings out toasted nuts, light red fruits, and toasted caramel. Flavour is more expressive on the citrus, with light toasted nuts, tangerine fruitiness and a touch of toffee. Not really getting a lot of barrel. Not very quad-like, but it's a tasty treat.

Bomber from the Woodland CostCo. Pours dark copper with a yellowish beige head. Aroma of darker fruits with a touch of citrus. Wood notes. A pervasive tangerine like citrus peel aspect. Med body. Flavor is wood, some bourbon, darkish fruits, and an earthiness almost hiding a small note of tangerine. Maybe more than a small note. Pretty good ale for an evening.
