Tipičen predstavnik angleškega stila je prežet s temnimi (praženimi in karamelnimi) sladi, ki mu podarjajo barvo črno kot noč in paleto omamnih kavno/čokoladnih not.
»Aroma je razmeroma nežna, s prepoznavnimi praženimi notami kave in travnatimi notami hmelja. Kasneje se razvije še prijetna aroma čokolade in nekaj suhega sadja, vse to pa ves čas spremljajo še dokaj izrazite in lahko zaznavne note alkohola (nekako najprej spomnijo na žganje – recimo whiskey). V okusu se srečamo z nežnim praženim občutkom, ter blago prisotnostjo čokoladne sladkobe, na koncu pa tudi z nežno grenkobo, ki se nadaljuje še v pookus.«
Telo tega porterja je srednje polno, odlikuje ga nežno kremasta tekstura. Alkohol kljub rahlo povišani stopnji (6%) ni izrazit, a na prijeten način zaokroži celoto tega zvarka. HopsBrew Porter je okusen, nadvse piten predstavnik svoje vrste.

Bottle from trade with MarkoNm, shared at Dan’s. Pours cloudy dark brown with sediment and a long lasting off-white to beige head. Aroma of coffee, chocolate, dark fruit, light roasting and light veg. Medium sweetness, light bitterness. Medium body, slight oily texture, soft carbonation.

01-12-16 // bottel from a trade with MarkoNM. Thanks! Gushing bottle unfortunately. Way too much carbonation in this one. Pours a black beer with a big foamy head. Opened at 7° and it tasted really bad, so watery and overbarbonated. Like 30mins later it was a bit better, you got some coffee notes. Cask @ Pivo & Burger Fest Oct’16, Ljubljana. Brune trouble, col blanc-cassé crémeux. Arôme au nez finement citronné et légèremetn fleuri apr les houblons nobles. Malt arrive plus en retrait avec de fines effluves d ecaramel et de grille voire de chocolat. Palais est malté chocolate, pointe d’amertume des houblons avec un côté raisin sec dans le fruité. Petite touché citronnée en retrait, pointe d’épice, indiquant un possible seigle? touché de réglisse sur la fin.

Sample from 50 cl bottle. Pitch black with a thin, lightly tanned head. Roasted aroma with chocolate, coffee, caramel malts, vanilla and dark malts. Taste is bitter. Medium bodied. Finishes dry and roasted bitter with red berries and coffee. Nice Porter.

Bottle@yesprs - Dark brown to black pour with beige head. Roasted and toasted mostly with notes of cocoa and caramel, some fudge, dark dried fruit shred, roasted finish, nice!

50 cl bottle. Pours hazy brown with a small off white to tan head. Aroma is roasted and light fruity. Toasted malty, caramelish and slight fruity. Bitter and toasted malty finish. Lingering malty and caramelish finish.

Dark brown to black colored, medium to strong beige creamy head, decent lasting. Aroma is of chocolate and some roasted malt, bit roasty acidity, some burnt smokey notes. Taste is medium sweet malt, chocolate, some roasted malt, bit smokey phenolic and light roasty acidity, some burnt notes, moderate roasty bitterness, dry.
