Thank you Mathieu87 & PriorL! 500 ml. bottle sampled @ “Epic beer Tasting 2016”. Dark brown, little tanned head. Nose is thick chicory syrup, herbal with low blueberry jam. Taste is fizzy, thin chicory, blueberry jam & vegetable. Fizzy & herbal. Meh, for me best of the 4 beers tried by these guys at the tasting.

Small yellow-beige head over reddish black beer. Chocolate, mocha, liquorice, chocolatemalt. Liquorice, sweet-roasted, hardly any bitterness. Roasted keeps lingering on, good carbonation. Decent porter.

Bottle, 500 ml from Pivoljub. Shared with JFK10000 and Miro B. Pours black with medium, creamy, lasting, light brown head. Excellent lacing. Roasted malts, lots of chocolate, some coffee notes. Soft carbonation, creamy mouthfeel. Moderate sweetness and bitter finish. Medium bodied. Nice brew.

Pours hazy muddy brown body with small, slightly off-white head. It basically looks like muddy water, wtf? Smell is caramel, licorice and slight chocolate. Medium body, softly carbonated. Texture is oily. Taste is mostly bitter due to the alcohol burn. Aroma of burnt malts, caramel, licorice, chocolate, coal. Slightly ashy with strong alcohol presence. Long and bitter finish. Overall, a messy brew. Struggling to finish a bottle. 1.9/5 ============= Re-rate. First one was obviously a failed bottle. Finally got the second chance to try this out. Much better this time around. Still, I like their stout better.

Spring 2017. Craft Room. Black, beige head. Chocolate and orange liqueur aroma. Quite nice. Smooth chocolate, vague tangerine. Vitamin candy. Ending earthy, some light chocolate. 7/4/7/3/142016. At the Opatovina beer fest, bottled. Murky dark brown ale with a small off white brownish head, floaties, looks messy even though it wasn?t shaken and poured without the yeast shot (don?t do that). Aroma mixing chocolate, caramel and dust. Chocolate, very nicely integrated, dry caramel, dust, good roasty dark chocolate, also, yeah, chocolate. Soft and creamy, but a touch too yeasty overall, would be interesting on tap. Has the makings of greatness, but just misses out. 7/2/7/4/14

On tap at Opatovina Beer Festival, Zagreb. Murky brown, small tan head, sediment. Roasty, wood, fruits, alcohol sting. Creamy texture, quite dry, light sweetness, roasty bitter finish. Medium to full body, soft carbonation. Warming. Good dry, heavy porter with only 6% abv.

Bottle, 0.50l, courtesy of MarkoNm. Pours pitch black color with large soapy light brown head and sparkling appearance. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, cocoa, dark fruits and vanilla. Taste starts light sweet grainy and mild fruity, follows by roasted malt, coffee and licorice, mouthfeel is mild spicy and finishes rather dry with moderate bitter aftertaste. Light to medium body, sticky texture and average carbonation in palate. Another very good beer from Hopsbrew...
