Lange Zeit nur im Fass erhältlich, hat sich diese halbdunkle Bierspezialität einen echten Liebhaberkreis aufgebaut. Durch seine rötliche Erscheinung ist es unverwechselbar im Glas, dank seiner Malzaromatik und einer leichten Röstnote ein echter Genuss! Erhältlich als klassische Halbe und im Fass.

500ml bottle. Clear, dark copper-ish, ruby colour with average, frothy, moderately lasting, minimally lacing, off-white to beige head. Mellow malty aroma with, grainy, strawy and spicy aspects, a touch of hay and husk, a touch of malt lozenge. Taste is mellow malty, minimally diluted hints of malt lozenge, caramel, grainy, husky, strawy, spicy overtones; prickly carbonation. Surprisingly refreshing, minimally watery - nice.

€-Flascherl: Clear, mahagony coloured, medium-sized off-white head with a little lace, mild to moderate sweetish toasty-malty nose with grassy hops underneath, traces of vegetables and metal detectable; light to moderate bitter-sweet flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.4; slightly lingering bitter-grassy and toasty finish. Not very good...
