These bottles represent the culmination of a coffee beer project nearly two years in the making. Double Shot, our beloved coffee stout, has been refined time and time again to achieve a beer that is both as robust in its base as it is a worthy purveyor of its respective coffee. We experience flavors and aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, milk chocolate covered espresso beans, and a hint of citrus-like acidity. The mouthfeel is luxurious with a soft and velvety carbonation. It is, in our opinion, the result of what is possible with the careful selection of ingredients paired with attentive brewing execution. We invite you to enjoy this bottle fresh and in your most beloved company!

Nice coffee stout at first, roasty with lots of fruits and richness. Gets oddly thin as it warms

The aroma is rich roasted malt, sticky sweet, deep espresso coffee vibes, chocolate ice cream, nutty, praline, mocha, dried fruits, plum, prune, fruit cake, rocky road and some liquorice. The taste is upfront its dry, rich roasted malt, bitter - sweet, deep dark coffee vibes, coffee cake, toasty, espresso, nutty, chocolate ice cream, gateaux, forrero rocher, slick, oily, sticky, dark fruits, slightly jammy, fruit compote and touch of alcohol warmth with a slick, sweet finish. Can: Poured a pitch-black color stout with a large dark brown foamy head with good retention and some lacing. Aroma of nice floral coffee notes with some chocolate notes with some light residual sugar notes. Taste is also a mix of residual sugar notes with some floral coffee and light chocolate notes with a semi dry finish. Body is about average for style with good carbonation. Well brewed coffee stout

Can ordered from Brew Cavern, Nottingham. Aroma had coffee and chai - referring to the can I see why that is. Dark and glossy. Red tint. Foamy kreosote head soon almost entirely disappears. Medium bitter. With really really rich creamy cacao, like that super luxurious hot chocolate Costa did many years ago. Chai spice compliments it throughout. + coffee. Thick bodied. Creamy. Slightly gritty - presumably didn't stir the cacao powder in thoroughly enough. Long finish. A tad astringent. Based on what this cost me I was expecting an anticlimax but this is a damn rich beast.
