These bottles represent the culmination of a coffee beer project nearly two years in the making. Double Shot, our beloved coffee stout, has been refined time and time again to achieve a beer that is both as robust in its base as it is a worthy purveyor of its respective coffee. We experience flavors and aromas of dark chocolate, caramel, milk chocolate covered espresso beans, and a hint of citrus-like acidity. The mouthfeel is luxurious with a soft and velvety carbonation. It is, in our opinion, the result of what is possible with the careful selection of ingredients paired with attentive brewing execution. We invite you to enjoy this bottle fresh and in your most beloved company!

Growler. Pours opaque black, large creamy dark brown head, dissipates slowly, nice lacing. Aroma is coffee, roast, more coffee, cocoa, light ashtray, mocha. Flavor is medium sweet, medium bitter, huge coffee mocha forward, whoah. Full body, creamy mouthfeel.

Thanks to jlindros. Ethiopia Yirgacheffe version. Pours black, essentially no brown showing at the edges. Nice foamy head of light brown cream. Pretty good lacing, particularly for a growler pour. Very good retention, too. Aroma has a big shot of coffee on top of a good amount of chocolate. Really nice roasty coffee. Some fruit but itβs more of a chocolate, roast mix. Creamy and nice. Reminiscent of Vietnamese Speedway, which is probably my favorite coffee stout. The flavor follows the aroma. Lots of coffee, seems a bit fruitier than the aroma. Chocolate isnβt quite as big, and it could use it. I think that chocolate base would be there if they pumped up the strength a bit. There is some light milk chocolate with some some dark chocolate depth. Nice, creamy feel, particularly for a growler pour. Smooth, relatively low carbonation. Thick feel for the abv. Another excellent Treehouse beer.

Growler with popery. Ethiopian Yirgacheffe coffee. Aroma is very coffee forward with a nice roast character and medium nuttiness. Light creaminess and medium light chocolate notes. Light fruitiness. Pours black with faint brown notes on the edges. Moderate, thick, creamy, dark tan head with above average retention that leaves a small layer forever. Moderate lacing and small legs. Flavor is slightly roasty with moderate milk chocolate and light bakers chocolate. Moderate strong coffee notes with a bit of nuttiness and fruit. Medium light bitterness with faint alcohol notes. Light sweetness with faint dark caramel and toffee. Mouthfeel is medium to medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Medium light stickiness in the finish. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a really nice coffee stout. Great coffee character with a good base beer behind it. Not too big and sticky, nice malt character.

Bottle. Pours black with brown head. Nose and taste of super rich coffee, roasted chocolate, earthy toasted nuts, vanilla bean, coffee creamer and a touch of sweet milk chocolate. Medium/full bodied.
