A malty, velvety beer specialty. Schwarz-Bier is a natural German Schwarzbier with a roasted taste that intermingles smoothly with coffee and bitter chocolate aromas. 11.9º original wort.

A decent schwarzbier fro Germany. Poured deep brown, some reddish hues with backlighting. Faint head faded quickly, but left a fair amount of lacing on the glass. Mild roast grain flavor, but no aftertaste.Seems a bit more watery than some of the others I’ve had.Still a good example of the style, and nice to have a dark, cold winter day.

Bottle @ Dan’s house, treadytalk. Dark brown appearance with a light brown head. Really roasty, slightly nutty, dark brown malty flavor. Very roasty and toasty, somewhat nutty, dark brown malty flavor with a bit of smokiness. Best one that I’ve had from them and a good overall beer.

Draft at the brewery in Stralsund.
