Bottle from Berlin consumed at home on 14th October 2012. Pours hazy brown with pale tan head. Fruity roasty aroma. Roast malts, nuttiness and berry fruits in-mouth; fruity cocktail in the finish. Zingy mouthfeel and thickish body.

50 cl. bottle. Dark, brown colour with a small, white head that fades completely. Aroma has chocolate and roasted malts, hints of milk(-chocolate) and vanilla. Taste is medium sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture. Average carbonation. Short, roasted finish with hints of cocoa, chocolate milk and vanilla. A straightforward schwartzbier.

0.5l bottle shared with The Tasting Crew. This is a dark brow one with a medium sized brown-beige head. On the nose I get soft sweet chocolate and cocoa powder, some light dry roastiness with a biscuity sweetness. Actually quite alright. In taste this was also quite alright and flavorful for a schwarz. Biscuits and chocolate, cappuccino powder, cinnamon. Somewhat thin oily on the mouthfeel with a comfortable small prickling carbonation level. It has a hint of something softly acidic in the finish. Not horrible at all. 24.09.2012

Bottle sample at a tasting at Dancing Camel. Thanks troubles. Dark brown color with beige head. Aroma of malt, caramel, a bit of cardboard, light coffee notes, faint roasty notes, sugary notes and dark bread. Sweet malty flavor with caramel, roasty hints, a bit of molasses and a bit of vegetal notes. Light to medium-bodied. Not so good - there’s a weird sweetness and overall it tastes more like a not-so-great Dunkel.

Sample at a tasting at Systembolaget in September 2012. Slightly hazy dark brown with a tan head. Sweet aroma of malt, toffee and dark bread. The taste was not as sweet as the aroma. On the thin side. A drinkable beer but nothing exciting.

Sample from bottle. Very dark brown to black colour, moderate beige head. Mild roasty and malty notes in both aroma and flavour, clearly drinkable but not very exciting.
