Can from Beers Of Europe. Hazy golden body with a huge white head. Steady carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of waxed lemon and grapefruit peel. Flavour of straw and orange. Thin to medium body with a slick texture. Soft fizz. Simple and hoppy.

The non-alcoholic version of an existing Mikkeller NEIPA apparently, not sure how this was made, perhaps the alcohol from the 'regular' version was withdrawn? Anyway, bottle from some organic shop in Ghent, where it stood next to the much better known Energibajer. Thick, regular, mousy, snow white, dense head over a hazy straw blonde beer with milky-greenish-yellow hue - indeed the looks of a hazy IPA. Aroma of old dried lime peel, freshly cut shallot, cake dough, bath soap, grass, white beans, wet flour, moist ginger powder, camomile, gypsum, pumice, withering dill. Spritzy onset, green unripe banana with side hints of apple peel and yellow-green starfruit; lively carbonation, vague sweetishness with a light sourish edge, continued in an increasingly soapy middle with a faint spicy rye bread note as well as a lot of green 'cerealliness'. Lots of gypsum-like minerality in the finish, chalky and soapy with aromatic notes of dried dill, dried old lime peel, and dried leek, combined with a very soft hop bitterness. Interesting idea and the first non-alcoholic NEIPA I encounter, but obviously this pioneering idea still needs a whole lot of finetuning, as I would never have identified this as a NEIPA of any kind if I hadn't known. As an alcohol-free beer in general, though, it works fine, feeling more 'full-bodied' than is usually the case in this class of beers, with a pleasant hop aspect - which, of course, would have to be more 'developed'. The strong soapiness, however, did bother me a bit, but thinking of all those (very) different non- and low-alcoholic beers I had so far, this is certainly not the worst one.

500ml can. Poured a hazy light golden. Straw colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head. The aroma is malt, light yeasty, light grassy hop. The flavour is light to moderate bitter, with a light, crisp, fresh, watery, light citrus, light hop bitter palate. Medium to light bodied with average carbonation. Quite drinkable for a low alcohol beer.

Can from Mikkeller Webshop, shared at home (08/03/2020) - hazed golden yellow with a white head. This is more like it, nice fruity aroma and taste with notes of citrus fruit, some grapefruit and lemon, straw, chalk, light malts, light body and nicely balanced bitterness into the hoppy close. Another AF winner from Mikkeller.

Bottle from drinkshop.sk Kinda okay considering absence of voltage but yes, that's something you're certainly missing there. More like a juice rather than beer

Can 33 cl. Pours a coudy, pale, whiteish golden with a small, creamy, white head. Pleasant citrusy nose. Light body, a sweet fruitiness, very soft on the palate with a decent bitterness. Not bad for a NA Hazy IPA. 171219
