On tap at St. Augustine's, pours a hazy orange with a small white head. Nose brings out spicy notes, bourbon barrels, and light herbal notes. Flavour is complex and cohesive, with smoky bourbon barrels, light spices and alcohol. The barrels shine bright here, finishing spicy and smoky. Good stuff.

This 7.3% American Strong Ale poured out a vibrant reddish gold with a thin light beige head in my snifter. A powerful hop aroma of piney citrus with a touch of dank rises from the glass to entice the drinker. The zesty carbonation on a soft body is quite satisfying. The taste is sweet malts, fruity hops with just a bit of pine. A very satisfying ale, beyond the beautiful can this is a great beer to check out this winter. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
