Draft at Great Beer Bar, Petaling Jaya, Malaysia. Poured a hazy straw colour with a frothy, long-lasting white head. The aroma is malt, citrus fruit, woody, light resin hop. The flavour is moderate sweet light bitter with a smooth, rich, malty, dry woody hop bitter palate and a lingering bitter finish. Medium bodied with average carbonation. A great DIPA with well hidden alcohol and plenty of fruit.

Bottle. Mitchell’s Wines, Sheffield. 8.9%. Different branding, too, but I reckon the same beer. Pale amber. Soft haze. Thin and sticky white head. Slow and leggy. Nose has barley sugar malts. Some nutmeg like spice. Some fusty orange. Taste is heavy sweet, turning heavy, ripe citrus bitter. Medium to full body. Soft carbonation. Oily and chewy. Finish gets a bit resinous and sticky sweet. Full on.

Hazy gold beer, good pale cream colour head. Palate is smooth and mildly dry, decent fine carbonation. Soft and creamy sweet malts. Bitter floral into bitter spicy orange. Trace of mango. Bitter tangerine on the semi dry finish shows a little pine. Spicy bitter linger. Has a bit of a bitter edge which fades a little as the beer warms up. Decent.

0.33 l, free bottle from local ’REWE’, best before August 2017. Clear, golden amber with a medium large, frothy, stable, white head. Sweetish, fruity and slightly resiny aroma of mango, orange jam and some pine. Sweetish, quite malty, fruity-herbal and slightly resiny taste of mango, orange jam, tea leaves and pine, followed by a medium long, rather bitter, resiny and slightly herbal-grassy finish. Medium to full body, creamy to oily mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Different, superb balance, moreish, very nice!
