An aggressive assault of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. A pleasant grassy aroma is layered between pepper, mango, papaya, and grape must. With just enough caramel malt to add depth to color, the emphasis here is truly of the Southern Hemispherical variety.

Pour is a hazy orange with almost no head at all. Aroma is some tropical fruit hops with a bitter dankness. It’s not jumping out of the glass bit it’s there. Flavor is the same as the aroma. Light fruit with dank bitterness and a barely there caramel malt. Decent but ultimately kind of a generic IPA.

Can from Boise Co-op. Pour from can starts off rather average, aroma kicks it up a notch with some nice flowery hop notes. Taste elevates the whole with very pungent, flavorful, floral, piney hops, carried on a slick, viscous body. Hoppy and tasty, overall feel is wonderful.

Bottle from Bottle Baron. Hazy golden/amber body with a huge off-white head. Lively carbonation. Good lacing. Aroma of floral hops, straw and blood orange. Flavour of caramel, burnt orange and candy. Long, bitter finish. Medium body with an oily mouthfeel and light fizz. A solid, well made IPA.

Thanks! to Angela. 655 ml. bottle sampled @ ZZT XIII. Light hazy orange, small off-white head. Nose is weirdly sweetish, very sweet, Turkish fruit, malt, sugar, malt, light pine & touch medicinal hop. Taste is caramel, Turkish fruit, overly sweet with light odd medicinal hops, herbal, cereal. Turkish fruits & malts body. Too sweet but not entirely bad, enjoyable even, hugely unbalanced. Not sure if it is the age or just how this beer is (I didn’t find a date on the bottle).

Bottle @ ZZT, small sample. Clear dark golden color, short frothy head. Aroma of biscuity and cookie malt, slight citrussy and piney hop. Medium bitterness. Could have been more fresh I think, or used more hop.

Bottle @ ZZT XII. Clear a bit rusty orange color, average to medium sized white head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, sweet hops, lightly old hops. Taste malts, again lightly old hops, sweet malts, lightly bitter. Decent body and carbonation. Hmm ok but not great.
