An aggressive assault of New Zealand Nelson Sauvin hops. A pleasant grassy aroma is layered between pepper, mango, papaya, and grape must. With just enough caramel malt to add depth to color, the emphasis here is truly of the Southern Hemispherical variety.

Very nice, slightly hazy light copper coloured body with a hint of golden notes and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head. Aroma of resin, pine, pineapple, flowers and a very pungent kick of passionfruit - very nice. Medium-bodied; Assertive grassy hop flavour with a little light malt noticeable, a hint of rye and very dry herbal notes - with not much of a finish at all. Aftertaste shows pungent hops, but not much else and too little malt for a long finish - decent. Overall, a good hoppy beer with a lot of different hop notes, but not enough malt for a complex beer nor a prolonged finish - decent, but I was expecting better, especially from the area and for the price! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Texas Liqour in Carlsbad, California on 19-March-2013 for US$7.99 sampled at home in Washington on 23-April-2013.

22oz bomber pours with a clear copper body that supports a tan head of foam. The aroma offers up dank to spicy hops as well as a touch of floral hops and citrus hop notes. The taste is smooth and nicely hoppy with earthy tea and dank hoppy goodness that I just love here as well as bits of floral and citrus hops in the background. It has a pleasing mix of bitter hops and flavor hops but leans solidly on the bitter side. Solid IPA goodness.

From a 22 oz bottle shared at home. Pours a clear orange with an off white head. Aroma of pine woods. Flavors also of evergreens with some citrus notes. Mildly bitter finish. An interesting IPA. Not a typical West Coast IPA. But nice.

Bottle. Amber beer with a cream head. Big tropical fruit aroma with grapefruit. Ruby grapefruit and pine flavor with light tropical fruit. Medium bodied. Good bitterness. Tropical fruit and grapefruit linger with pine.
