The inaugural beer of The Hop Concept brand, this IPA boasts aromas of citrus and dank, resinous pine. As the flavor opens, huge notes of stonefruit and dank resin give way to a malty backbone and drying hop bitterness on the finish.

Thanks to Erwin! 650 ml. bottle sampled @ “Tim’s orgasmic Trillium tasting”. BBF 03/05/2015 (looks like they only took 3 months). Yeah. Distribution might be potentially to blame here since the guy who brought this apparently purchased this rather recently. Hazy golden orange, big creamy white head. Nose is sweetish weeds, insecticide, pine resin, doughy. Taste is huge marmalade (likely due to faded hops because of the age), odd paper, big caramel, pine resin, dried fruits, peach, light zest & floral notes. Candied fruits body. Okay still, malt base in this one was interesting enough.

Bottle shared at CBC Clerko. It pours deep sunset orange with a massive of-white head. The nose is earthy, sticky sweet apricot, peach, brioche, sticky and some light spring onion. The taste is bitter-sweet, onion vibe, sweet stickiness, alcohol boost, earth, grass, some dankness, bready malt and hop astringency with a lingering bitter-dry finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. Punchy and pretty drinkable. Solid stuff.

Bomber courtesy of Desverger. Pours hazy murky golden with a frothy white head that slowly dissipates while leaving some thick trace on the glass. Smell is fruity and grassy with crackers, caramel, grapefruit juice, mango, pineapple, passion fruit, moist grass, pine needles, chives and lemon zest. Taste is bitter, fruity and grassy. Mouthfeel is round, tiny dry, astringent and medium bodied. Finish is bitter with crackers, caramel, grapefruit, mango, passion fruit, moist grass, pine needles, minerals and lemon zest. Really quite nice. Still some decently fresh hops in there.
