The inaugural beer of The Hop Concept brand, this IPA boasts aromas of citrus and dank, resinous pine. As the flavor opens, huge notes of stonefruit and dank resin give way to a malty backbone and drying hop bitterness on the finish.

Pours deep gold into a tulip. Bright white head with medium retention recedes leaving sticky spiders. Dark caramel, pine and resin aromas. Dry with sweet dark caramel and (ok) dank, sticky resin. Lasting roasted pith finish.

Nice crisp and hazy copper tinted bronze body with a nice two centimetre tall off-white head. Aroma of resinous, piney and herbal hops with some noticeable citrus and grapefruits coupled with a rather large malt nose and some alcohol as well. Medium to Full-bodied; Rich sticky and strong flavour with a lot of malt, but the hops up front shape the beer - rounded and resinous along with some pine, grapefruit, grass and herbal elements show off, but the hops are well balanced by the bunches of malt in this one. Aftertaste shows a nice complexity throughout that shows some alcohol warmth, a little touch of sweetness from fruit and finishing up with a rather bitter finish from all the hops. Overall, a nice Imperial IPA, which as stated on the bottle - is a good mix of dank and sticky flavours, all of which show well and have a nice complexity. I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Los Angeles (Downtown LA), California on 23-February-2016 for US$6,99 sampled at home in Washington on 07-April-2016 that was well worth the space in my suitcase for this one!

Bottle 65 cl. Pours a hazy golden with a small, off-white head. Very unpleasant, dank, onion-like aroma. Medium body, some fruits but again these onion-like notes. Harsh and crude bitter finish. Not nice! 070416

Bottle from The Beer Junction, Seattle
Golden color, clean, with generous head. The aroma is very dank. Lean body, on the dry side, the malt has a mild caramel and toffee touch; plenty of hop resins; I'm less impressed by the final, a bit papery, dank, no fruits.
Robust.

650 ml bottle thanks going to T.J on this bottle. No bottling date or code anyplace. Thin white head lacing the snifter. Color is a hazy orange. Aroma is lots of pine with a pretty steady among of scallion and grass.

The hop variety is everything with the addition of the kitchen sink. Yet what shocked me is that with all the hops, it’s not overly abrasive or over the top bitter. More balanced then I was expecting. Are 9 hop varieties overdoing it? Maybe, maybe not. I like what the Lost Abby did here. Yes, the Lost Abby. What is up with pretending this is a separate brewery???

Overall, this is still a real decent imperial IPA.

Aroma is big dank lemon, onion and some strawberry. Flavour is composed of sweet and juicy hop, midget gems, passion fruit. Palate is medium sticky, resinous, highish carbonation. Assertive clean hop bitterness Super juicy.

26.11.2015, 0,65l bottle (bbd. 03.05.2015) shared with friends:
Nice creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is kind of strange sour-ish, old citrus peel, rotten leafs, minerals, old hops, weeds, soda powder. Taste is slightly sour-ish concentrated grassy, old citrus peel, minerals, weeds, medicine, paper, rotten leafs, harsh hops, grass. Medium bitterness, sour-ish medical mouthfeel. Drainpour!

Bottle shared at Craft Beer Co, Clekenwell - London. Cheers! Pours unclear gold with a creamy, white head. The aroma has light melon, tangerine, pine needles. Light to medium sweet flavor with a decent kick of booze, herbal hops, rindy citrus, dry bready malts. Medium bodied with average carbonation. Lightly resinous on the finish, a little warming, with crusty pale malts, citrus rind, pine needles. Perhaps not at its freshest. So so.
