I have bought this beer at Heinrich 3000, Kornwestheim, tasting it with a big pleasure yesterday, relax, during the afternoon. Classical and solid imperial stout, well balanced, roasty malt, cocoa, chocolate, coffee, medium body, bitter, not strong for the style and powerful.

Bottle from Drankenhandel Leiden. Old school Impie with an aroma of roasted malt, chocolate, cocoa and a touch of liquorice. Medium sweet flavour with a mild bitterness. More chocolate in the finish. Nice to have a pure-blooded Impie for a change in this barrel/pastry era.

Bottle 50 cl. Pours an opaque black with a dense and creamy, beige head. Sweet roast and licorice aroma. Thick, sweet roasty body, rich in chocolate and licorice. Subdued roasty bitterness. What a pleasant surprise! 140823
