Thank you! Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Kerstbierfestival Essen 2015. Clear golden, quickly fading small bubbles. Nose is industrial, fizzy, excessive esters. Taste is very fizzy, white sugar, industrial fizzy, peach. Body is empty, industrial & fizzy. Meh, far too industrial & fizzy tasting. You get almost nothing out of this, bland at best & overcarbonated.

Cloudy medium golden colour, large frothy off-white head, diminishing slowly, good lacing. Aroma is sweet, candied orange, apricot, peach, caramel, ginger. Taste is heavy sweet and medium bitter, toffee, spicy notes. Medium body, creamy texture, soft carbonation, aftertaste is sweetbitter, malty and spicy, alcohol. Peculiar brew, strong and not very subtle, but drinkable.

Auch wenn ich dieses Bier bereits vor einigen Weihnachten getrunken habe, will ich nun ein paar Notizen hergeben: Es ist ein stark fruchtbetontes, alkoholisch-schweres Weihnachtsbier. Die Aromen nach überreifen Früchten sind sehr schön, nur der Alkohol hinten raus wird etwas brutal.

Bottle from Sake no Taniguchi. 300 yen or so on sale. Enghien Noël 9% this belgian tripel was a slow gusher and pour a matte copper gold with a pillowy dense head of off-white foam. The aroma is rich bready fruits - candied oranges & peaches. A pretty typical belgian tripel. Light bodied, sharp carbonated and exceedingly dry. The taste is flatbread, fruits and white pepper with some heat. Nothing so special but I got my money’s worth.

Bottle. Pours clear blonde, ok white head. Smell is honey, grain , sweet, yeqsty. Tastte is mildly bitter. Honey, malts , a certain herbam character. Ok mf , rather high carbo. In balance of sweet and bitter. Fair enough beer, but just a bit too sweet for me

Bottle at home. Pours clear golden, nose is yeasty spicy, taste is similar, sweet.

330ml Bottle - Golden with a slight haze and a foamy head. Yeast, lemon and a hint of coriander in the aroma. Fruity, spicy and slightly sweet taste with lemon, banana and coriander detected.

330ml bottle from Beers of Europe. Pours clear gold, thick white head. Beatty, yeasty nose, light spice. Prickly carbonation, dry taste. Easy drinking.

From bottle at DSJT at Cardinal 09.11.14. Pale and clear straw colour. Off-white dense head. Soft aroma of dried fruit and succade. Also with something unfresh, overripe tropical fruits. Similar taste.

Christmas tripel with hazy peach blonde colour and firm, thick head; sweet and spicy as expected from a Christmas ale, caramel malts, herbal hops in the finish. Original review text: 'Winter tripel', probably just a less spicy version of the classic Enghien de Noël. Egg-white, medium thick, slowly breaking, bit irregular and dissolving head on an initially clear, deep golden beer with lively sparkling, turning misty and a tad deeper ochre-ish with sediment. Aroma of honey, cloves, oxidized apple slices, cooked green beans, coriander seed, pear peel, rusty iron, old cookies, dried banana peel, herborised plants, plastic. Sweetish onset, notes of pear and unripe peach with a light touch of banana, fizzy and minerally carbonation, smooth mouthfeel - but feeling a tad on the thin side at this strength. Cereally, somewhat caramelly maltiness, 'hot malts' and maltose effects like in many industrial Belgian tripels, some white candi sugariness but not overly sweet; coriander seed 'dustiness' in the end, strongly so, along with clove-like phenols, a herbal hop bitterness of medium duration and the expected afterglow of 'jenever'-like alcohol, ending a bit wry. Somewhat crude, boozy tripel, very cliché but at least not overly sweet; not more 'wintery' than any other Belgian tripel so indeed quite different from that much sweeter and spicier Noël version with which this beer probably shares its basic recipe.
