Gebraut nach dem Stil eines California Common und mit obergäriger Hefe vergoren kommt dieser Klassiker der amerikanischen Geschichte daher welches als Dampfbier in der Goldgräber-Ära eingebraut und ursprünglich mit einer speziellen untergärigen Hefe für wärmere Temperaturen vergoren wurde. Leicht fruchtige Noten, gepaart mit Röstaromen ergeben ein schönes Zusammenspiel am Gaumen.

Tap at BrauStil, Frankfurt am Main. Clear dark amber coloured brew with an very dry bitter taste with some sweetness. Hints of grapefruit, caramel, light roasted malts and some nuts.

Tap and 330ml bottle. Opalescent, amber colour with average to huge, frothy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, pale off-white head. Minimally sugary, caramel malty and slightly zesty, citrusy fruity and minimally herbal, hoppy aroma, hints of candied orange peel, marmalade, ice tea. Taste is minimally sugary, caramel malty with low residual sweetness, and slightly zesty, citrusy fruity hoppy, hints of lemon peel, candied orange peel, a weak touch of brown sugar, ice tea, mild, zesty bitterness, papery overtones with a cardboard touch. Watery texure, slightly dry palate, fine, dense, soft to flat carbonation. Homebrew-ish, a bit stale, insipid - disappointing.

visionthing(6608) Tallinn, Estonia Feb 8, 2020 3.1 On tap at Braustil Biergarten, Frankfurt am Main. Almost completely clear amber with a modest, off-white head. Malty and slightly caramelly with fruity notes. On the sweet and malty side, but fairly pleasant and enjoyable.
