Full Nelson pours a bright copper blonde which is accompanied by an attractive white head, which is both compact and lasting. From the word go, the aroma positively screams Nelson Sauvin hops, with their gooseberry, raisin, citrus and tropical fruit aroma. This is echoed in the taste, with the addition of a pleasant bitterness. Don’t do things by half, get the Full Nelson!

Cask at Craft Beer Co, London on 26th August 2012. Gold with lasting off-white part-lacing foam. Mildly hoppy and grassy aromas. Fruity, slightly soapy and grassy in-mouth; lemon citrus in background. Finish is tangy, grassy then bitter, on a light but engaging mouthfeel. A very enjoyable pint.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 24/09/2012. Deep gold with a slight white head. Aroma of white grapes, gooseberry and grapefruit. Flavour had some sweetish, biscuit malts, more grapes and tropical fruit and a dryish finish. Very good.

Cask at the Cask, Pimlico - 21/08/12. Slightly obscured pale blonde with a frothy white head. Hop forward nose with apricot, citrus and pine notes. Leafy fresh hop taste with straw, apricot, mango. Light to medium body, quite wet but in a refreshing way leading to a sweet and dry finish. Great fresh tasting cask beer!

Cask at Craft, London. Pours clear gold with a foamy, white head. Some tangy, rye-like grains in the aroma. Medium sweet flavor with ripe citrus, mango, pine, moderate tangy tangerine. Medium bodied with fine, creamy carbonation. Fairly dry on the finish, with orange and tangerine. Very nice, well balanced.

Rake. Hazy gold beer, tidy white head. Smooth palate, semi dry. Mild carbonation. Really nice Nelson Sauvin! Presenting here as grapey with a trace of gooseberry. Very mild bitterness in the smooth dry finish. Nice! Could do with a touch more carbonation but really good hop flavour for it’s modest abv.
