Thx! for sharing kind soul. Sampled 330 ml. bottle @ Borefts 2015. Day 2. Breed with rice, salt, saffron and olive oil aka paella beer. Now olive oil might be the craziest ingredient I have seen so far in beer because call me crazy but if I am not mistaken olive oil doesn’t dissolve in oil. I am just not getting that one. Crazy sediment at the bottom of the bottle. Pours citrus hazy golden, small white head. Nose is weird oily, sweetish candy with big saffron on top. Taste is olive oil, oily in nature with sugar, big saffron, very oily, sweetish, bread, reminds me a bit of the dish that it is inspired on,… Weird but I sort of kind of like it.

26/IX/15 - 33cl bottle @ Borefts 2015 (Bodegraven) - BB: V/2017 (2015-1393) Thanks to the kind soul who shared this beer!

Clear pale yellow beer, small irregular white head, unstable, dissipates quickly. Aroma: fruity, exotic fruits, bit sweet, some marzipan. MF: soft carbon, medium body. Taste: grassy, pretty bitter, citrus, bit floral, soapy, dry. Aftertaste: very bitter, dry, bit medicinal in the finish. Didn't pick up on the saffron or olive oil.

0.33 l bottle from Firma Bier, best before 5/2017. Hazy, straw yellow with a thin, frothy, slowly diminishing, white head. Sourish-citrusy aroma of lemon, salt, in fact olives, gooseberry, mussels and mustard. Sourish, citrusy taste of lemon, gooseberry, celery, cabbage and olives, followed by a crisp, slightly bitter and grapefruity finish. Thin to medium body, slightly effervescent and smooth mouthfeel, very soft carbonation. Strange but still enjoyable and balanced. Dominated by a pleasant flavour of lemon, the normally undesired associations with vegetables and other food somehow fit in. Nice experiment but nothing exciting.

Bottled 330ml (Peta4). Hazy yellow color, small white head. Herbal, grassy citrus and coriander aroma. Light-bodied. Grassy, coriander, lime, grainy flavor. A bit salty and hoppy. Meh.

Hazy pale yellow with thin fluffy head. Some saffron in the aroma. Flavour has fairly citrusy hops and is quite bitter. Thin body. There’s an element of a salty aftertaste but not overly so.

Keg at the Hanging Bat. Pours hazy yellow with a thick white head. Aromas of saffron, light olive oil if you look for it. Taste is saffron, light sweet note. Weird herbal finish. Crocus. For 4.4 it’s got good body, Dorothy.
