Cask, shared with Finn at Crown & Anchor Brixton. Cola black body. Spotty lacing from a dissipating beige head. Smell of earth and dark malts. Similar taste, carefully smoked. Mid-dry, roasted ending. Fine bodied. Nice enough (29.11.2015).

330 ml. bottle. Purchased @ Malt Attacks. BBF 09/2016. Dark furniture brown, little head. Powdery mocha, cacao, touch herbal chocolate syrup nose, faint hops even, herbal, dash. Taste is herbal, powdery mocha, leaves, powdery cheap chocolate, dash chocolate syrup, more leaves, light herbs, very low gamy smoke. Lightly syrupy, light body, powdery. Pretty decent & nice classical Porter.

Bouteille 33cl, bottled 25/09/2015, BB 09/2016, gyle# 74-75.

Cask. Shakespeare’s, Sheffield. Clear, dark, cola brown. Thick, very foamy, dirty, pale tan head. Tangy, cake fruits. Lightly nutty. Hint of cocoa. Has a light savoury note at the end. Taste is nutty, lightly spicy dry. Some stickiness on the lips. Palate seems a bit thin. A bit watery, really. Finishes fruity, nutty dry. Ok, but could have fancied more depth of body.
